The Managing Director will oversee a $100MM+ budget, 40+ direct staff, and 30-50 vendor contracts to safely and efficiently operate all common use equipment, facilities, and services at LAX. The Managing Director will work closely with LAX stakeholders to ensure that issues are acknowledged, properly documented, and resolved on a timely basis. the Managing Director will guide all aspects of the operation to include oversight and management of: 1. Assigned equipment, facility, and passenger services operations; 2. Financial matters related to the transparent and sound financial planning and operation of the organization in compliance with (GAAP); 3. Administrative and corporate duties and responsibilities required to ensure compliance with all applicable airport requirements, DHS protocol, and federal, state, and local laws; 4. All matters pertaining to the procurement and letting of contracts in accordance with applicable requirements; AND 5. Various projects pertaining to the common use (CU) equipment, facilities, and services.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

At least eight (8) years’ experience as an Airport Director, Terminal Operations Director, Station Manager of a major hub operation, or Manager of a FAA Part 139 Certified Airport, Airport System, Airport Terminal, or Airline Station, including a commercial passenger terminal with more than 20M enplanements per year.
Demonstrated working knowledge of all aspects of Airport Terminal and Facilities Management including Operations, Maintenance, Environment, Finance, Public Relations, and Human Resources Management.
Proven ability to interface with Government officials, including DHS, USDA, CBP, TSA, DOT, FAA, DEC, DEP, OSHA, EPA, CDC, etc.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective communications in a multi-stakeholder environment (e.g., Airport, Airlines, stakeholders, and tenants.)
Ability to read and evaluate budgets, financial statements, and P&L reports.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret industry periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
Excellent communication and writing skills; demonstrated ability to review/write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, employees, clients, customers, and the general public.
Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a workforce consisting of professional staff, hourly employees, and union employees.
Demonstrated proficiency with MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Demonstrated local experience is strongly preferred and will be discussed at the time of interview.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Four-year degree in Airport, Aviation, Aerospace, or Business Administration, Public Relations or related field is required; Master's Degree is preferred.
A demonstrable history successful serving leading a large complex organization in commercial aviation setting is required.
Must possess a valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record as a condition of employment.
Must be eligible to obtain all Airport staff access and security clearances from the Respective Authorities.
IAP or AAE designation is preferred.
