The Ivey Business School at Western University, London, Ontario seeks candidates for a faculty position in the area of Entrepreneurship. Applicants will be considered for a Probationary (tenure-track) appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, or a Tenured appointment at the rank of Associate or Professor. The position is available to begin in July 2025, although an alternate start date may be arranged.
The Entrepreneurship Area Group at Ivey has a collegial atmosphere and a strong research focus aimed at FT50 publications. Preference will be given to researchers with a demonstrated interest in areas which could include—but are not limited to new venture creation, entrepreneurial finance, and other core entrepreneurship topics. We are open to all research methodologies. The group’s goal is to produce research that impacts the world and that is connected to practice. Successful candidates will receive generous research funding support to contribute to this goal and will be expected to teach Entrepreneurship subjects in our student-centered, case-based undergraduate, MBA, MSc, EMBA or PhD programs.
Probationary (Tenure-Track) Appointment: Applicants for a probationary (tenure-track) appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor must already have, or be nearing completion of, their PhD. The ideal candidate should have excellent research capabilities as demonstrated by high quality working papers, presentations at major conferences, publications in top academic journals, and strong letters of reference from recognized leading scholars. They should also have the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
Tenured Appointment: Applicants for a tenured appointment at the rank of Associate or Professor will hold a PhD. The successful candidate will be an internationally recognized scholar in their field of research, as demonstrated by publications in the highest quality academic journals, an active continuing research program, external research funding, scholarly awards, and invited presentations at seminars and major conferences. Preference will be given to candidates who provide evidence of strong teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, especially using a case discussion format, and supervision of graduate students.

The Ivey Business School at Western University, London, Ontario seeks candidates for up to six limited-term teaching positions at the rank of Lecturer in the Business Foundations program. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one of the following: four-year honours (HBA) degree in commerce/business administration, a discipline-appropriate MSc degree, an MBA degree, or a PhD in management, business, or a related discipline. Experience and familiarity with the case method will be an asset. The Limited Term appointment positions will be for two years, beginning in early May 2025 and ending in early May 2027. Successful candidates will be required to attend paid training on a full-time basis in May and June 2025.
Successful candidates will be expected to teach up to three sections of Business 1220E, Business 1299E, or Business 2257 during the winter and/or summer academic sessions in each of their two years. These undergraduate courses are student-centered, case-based and developed and taught by the Ivey Business School and available to students across the University. Business 1299E is a required course for engineering students; as a result, those applicants who also have an eng...ineering degree are encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates will be responsible for all activities related to teaching the course, case writing, curriculum development, writing and setting of exams, managing case competitions, training new Lecturers, managing and recruiting teaching assistants and providing academic guidance to students. Successful candidates are also expected to perform service activities such as, but not limited to, teaching high school case classes and judging case competitions. Vacation entitlements must be taken during July and August of 2025 and 2026 respectively in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
