Columbia Business School seeks qualified faculty applicants for a Professor of Professional Practice (or an Assistant or Associate level candidate) with a focus on Family Business to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their professional background, teaching, and/or service. As a Professor of Practice, the candidate will contribute to the School pedagogically by developing curriculum and teaching up to 6 courses per year in the MBA and Executive MBA programs about Family Business and related topics. The incumbent is expected to be a key contributor to the School’s Family Business efforts, and to provide leadership in the Family Business area. There will be opportunities to work with a team of professional staff to provide academic vision and strategic leadership to the Family Business Initiative. This position will begin on July 1, 2023. This is a full-time appointment with a multi-year renewal contingent on successful review.
Practice faculty have professional expertise but may lack the scholarly training and credentials expected of research faculty.
