Ball State University welcomes applications for an Academic Affairs Technology Administrator and Operations Specialist. We seek a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as a Faculty Success Solutions Administrator and Operations Specialist. As a key member of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs team, the Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in the implementation of Watermark’s Faculty Success solution within Ball State University.
This on-campus position will work closely with faculty members, administrators, and other stakeholders to understand needs, provide training and support, and ensure the effective utilization of our Faculty Success solution.
Salary and benefit packages for this position are competitive, with salaries for this opportunity beginning at $70,000 annually.

Duties and Responsibilities: We seek a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as a Faculty Success Solutions Administrator and Operations Specialist. As a key member of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs team, the Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in the implementation of Watermark’s Faculty Success solution within Ball State University. This position will work closely with faculty members, administrators, and other stakeholders to understand needs, provide training and support, and ensure the effective utilization of our Faculty Success solution.
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Three years of experience working in academic technology or an IT environment, with multi-faceted projects providing technology solutions at a managerial or leadership level.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service focus
Excellent organizational skills
Experience with data visualization tools (ie, Excel) to create reports
Preferred Qualifications: A degree in information technology, data science, applied computer science, information system and operation management, computer technology, or a related field. Continuing education or professional certifications as appropriate to the field.
Five years of experience working in academic technology or an IT environment, OR five years of project management experience with large multi-faceted projects at a higher educational institution providing technology solutions at a managerial or leadership level
Experience creating and conducting training sessions for groups with varied levels of skills and comfort with technology
The ability to write complex SQL queries (joins, subqueries) to clean and analyze large datasets
Demonstrated knowledge of Academic Technologies and Information Technology principles, practices, procedures, and systems thinking
Ability to work effectively either autonomously or in a group
Demonstrated experience in providing technical analysis of complex business processes
Ability to identify and create efficiencies and improvements of those processes
Experience creating dashboards
