Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar seeks applicants for a Teaching track position at the Assistant Professor level in Organizational Behavior beginning in Fall Semester, 2023. This is a career-oriented appointment with primary responsibility for teaching and contributions to the educational mission of the undergraduate Business Administration program in Doha, Qatar. The position also provides support for the pursuit of research interests.
Carnegie Mellon’s undergraduate Business Administration program has earned global recognition for its approach to the study of business management as a science. The program emphasizes a quantitative, analytical approach, training students in the foundations of business. We seek an engaging colleague, who is passionate about teaching and whose primary responsibility will be to deliver an undergraduate core Organizational Behavior course and electives related to organizational behavior, such as managing across cultures, team dynamics, and leadership.
Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar operates in concert with several other American and European branch campuses under the umbrella of the Qatar Foundation’s Education City. The branch campus closely follows the admissions requirements and English language curriculum of the home campus, which awards all degrees. The several thousand students in Education City students are a broad mix of nationalities, but primarily from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. CMUQ’s faculty includes professionals hired specifically to the campus and seconded faculty from the main campus. CMUQ’s primary focus is undergraduate education in Business Administration, Biological Sciences, Computer Science and Information Systems.
Carnegie Mellon offers teaching track appointments with multi-year contracts and promotion opportunities. While entry and advanced level candidates will be considered, the appointment will be made as an Assistant Teaching Professor.
