Summary: The IT Developer is a full-time twelve-month position that works in conjunction with the Database Administrator to perform analysis, design, modification, development, integration, testing, and documentation of Montreat College’s software solutions including but not limited to: Salesforce, Jenzabar One, LMS systems and PowerFAIDS.
The candidate will develop and support solutions which address a range of business needs including Salesforce development, integrating software solutions, forms, portals, workflow, document management, and business intelligence/reporting

Duties:
- Support the Enrollment Management team’s use of Salesforce
- Facilitate regular communication with Enrollment Management regarding priorities and convey progress on current initiatives to increase effectiveness of Salesforce and other campus applications
- Assist DBA in the development and/or integration of software solutions, including evaluation of proposed software purchases
- Identify, research, and disseminate new technologies as appropriate
- Interact with external vendors and contractors to develop complex software solutions that facilitate achievement of Montreat College’s stated strategic mission
- Modify and implement software integrations
- Assist DBA with development of reports
- Migrate data and software functionality from obsolete platforms and systems to new architecture or systems.
- Perform emergency maintenance on mission-critical, time-dependent software systems
- Develop documentation for projects and processes
- Perform problem analysis on software solutions
- Provide project status reports to internal and external management
- Research, teach, and lead new technology initiatives
- Implement and practice coding best practices and continually improve data quality, availability and transparency
- Create integrations and processes that allow robust automation
- Perform other related duties as required
Supervision:
- This position reports to the Director of Technology
- Depending on qualifications and ability to perform all required duties, remote work will be considered
Qualifications:
- Salesforce Development and Administration
- 5 years of relevant application solutions development, integration and implementation experience
- Experience with PowerShell, Managing SQL server, manipulating and maintaining SQL views
- Demonstrated skill in researching and analyzing complex problems and developing innovative solutions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
