About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Associate Manager... The manager of the Party Operations Group (POG) team will oversee management of Enterprise Party Data stewardship team located in India, which will work hand-in-hand with POG team in US and collaborate with DMI leaders, technology leaders, corporate functions, and line of business (LOBs) partners to implement and manage accuracy of the Party data attributes for Wells Fargo. This role will work with stateside counterparts and partners in delivering consistent and accurate views of business critical Party data information to meet our business needs.
In this role, you will:- Manage and supervise day-to-day operation of a team
- Recommend operational improvements
- Plan, direct, supervise and evaluate work flow, assignments, or distribution
- Monitor performance of individuals according to established standards, and conduct performance evaluations
- Train and coach individuals
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Data Management
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
- Demonstrate master, reference data, and technology thought leadership; develop productive business relationships, and work with Head of EMRD team to build the master/reference data strategy and roadmap; understand and influence the strategy, ensuring it is informed by current and emerging domain and technology capability and supported by our architecture and roadmap
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan to manage Party data in order to meet specific business needs phased by priorities
- Ensure technology partners are informed by business requirements, including operational processes needs, and implemented in accordance to committed timelines
- Ensure alignment with the enterprise level data strategy, line of business strategy, and IT strategy across a variety of business, stakeholders, and initiatives
- Act as a catalyst to socialize EMRD capabilities, solutions, and data assets to advance the data agenda of the enterprise
- Define change management strategy to drive the adoption of master and reference data into LOB processes and behaviors while minimizing disruption to business
- Drives planning and implementation of approach/plan end to end while ensuring operational excellence and process efficiency
- Collaborate and coordinate with executive and key leaders to maintain commitment to strategic objectives
- Partner with peers in DMI and WFT function as the conduit to SMEs within the Lines of Business
- Recruit high performing talent, build collaborative high performing teams, and foster culture of excellence
- Ensure talent development leveraging both internal resources and industry best practices
- Provides leadership for related internal as well as industry activities
- Exercises the usual authority of a manager and is responsible for the management of individuals and matrixed teams
Required Qualifications, International:- 14+ years of data management experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Customer/Party data operations, master, reference data, technology strategy, business technology solutions, data warehousing, and data integration
- SME skills in recommending preparation of desktop procedures for Operational processes
- Strong SQL/RDBMS skills for various data related efforts
- Strong leadership skills
Desired Qualifications:- Expertise knowledge of successfully implementing enterprise master and reference data management/data analysis/data profiling/data integration
- Experience with enterprise master and reference data management best practices and disciplines including governance/change management activities, data mapping, data modeling, hierarchy management, data validation
- Knowledge of reference and master data technologies such as Informatica MDM and they interact with big data technologies Hadoop, Teradata, data lake
- Experience creating strategic plans for enterprise wide business initiatives
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to engage and influence technology and Lines of Business executives
- Experience defining, documenting, and implementing business requirements, policies, procedures and processes of master and referenced data activities and identification of future efficiencies
- Capacity to organize and manage multiple priorities and achieve results
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
- Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and internal audit assessments
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Driven, confident, organized and an accomplished problem solver
- Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
