Columbia Business School seeks qualified faculty applicants for a Professor of Professional Practice, a Senior Lecturer in Management and/or a Lecturer in Management with a focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their professional background, research, teaching, and/or service. The candidate will contribute to the School pedagogically by developing curriculum and teaching up to 6 courses per year in the MBA and Executive MBA programs about DEI and related topics. The incumbent is expected to be a key contributor to the School’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts, and to provide leadership in the DEI area. In addition, the incumbent will conduct rigorous research and systematic analysis of the School’s diversity related goals and objectives.
There will be opportunities to work with a team of professional staff to provide academic vision and strategic leadership to the DEI Initiative. This position will begin on July 1, 2022 and is a full-time appointment with a multi-year renewal contingent on successful review. Rank, and academic division will be determined based on background and experience. Practice faculty have professional expertise but lack the scholarly training and credentials expected of research faculty. Lecturer in Management faculty meet a programmatic need for instruction in specialized fields. Applications that are received by March 1, 2022 will receive full consideration.
