The University of Connecticut Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking a proactive innovative thinker with strong analytical, technical, and customer service skills to configure and maintain Enterprise Document and Content Management software. This role combines the skills of a business analyst and application administrator with technical expertise. The ECM Application Administrator must possess strong organizational, communication, and technical skills to provide application support for multiple enterprise applications, including content management, collaboration tools, and no code workflow platforms. The candidate must work successfully in a team and have the ability to work independently to advance initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a well-rounded set of functional and technical skills and experience including application administration, product and feature design, development, implementation, and customer management. The candidate must work well with the customers, vendors, peers, and management. They must be effective with researching, problem-solving, documenting, and training.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide business and systems analysis, assessment; gather and document business requirements and workflow processes; conceptualize, recommend, demonstrate, and implement technology solutions.
Design, configure, implement, and maintain KnowledgeLake and Microsoft SharePoint Online solutions, with emphasis on document management and records management features; perform technical and content-related tasks.
Assess, implement, and manage user access/security requirements.
Demonstrate effective ECM design concepts including taxonomy and metadata configuration to create easily searchable content.
Serve as liaison between users, vendors, and University staff.
Report progress to users, colleagues, and management through formal written communications.
Create user guides and technical support documentation; maintain online knowledge base.
Provide technical support, training, and consulting services to end-users.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, identify, and resolve technical issues for supported applications.
Leverage ticketing system to track issues and project tasks.
Conduct needs analyses and feasibility studies for potential technical solutions. Conduct research, review, test, and evaluate potential new products or enhancements; write summaries and reports recommendations; research licensing and purchasing arrangements relative to potential software.
Analyze and test system upgrades to validate requirements.
Provide leadership and planning of technical software implementation processes; perform analysis and coordination of activities in support of projects.
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the impacts of application upgrades, fix packs, patches, etc., and coordinate testing and customer communications. Coordinate and execute testing, in concert with customers to ensure requirements are met.
Perform related duties as required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Management, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Excellent collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrated experience with Windows in an Active Directory environment
