Position Summary: The Treasury Management Specialist, Lead is responsible for the development and supervision of the treasury team and acts as the subject matter expert for all treasury related products and services. Works closely with the Director of Banking and market leadership in coordinating treasury team functions and managing the pipeline for commercial accounts and treasury services. This position is responsible for the account fulfillment and ongoing servicing and support of treasury product and services.
Essential Responsibilities: Job Function 1:Treasury Personnel Management - 25%
Set and enforce expectations for commercial cash management client servicing at Alerus.
Act as subject matter expert for treasury services.
Conduct performance plans and reviews.
Provide coaching and mentoring for treasury management staff.
Develop an on-going training plan for the deposit team.
Ensure SLA standards are met by the team.
Facilitate communication of all necessary information to the treasury management team and other departments as appropriate.
Resolve escalated issues and concerns.
Job Function 2:Commercial and Treasury Products and Strategy - 45%
Assist Business Advisors to prospect and identify target segments for commercial deposits.
Conduct account analysis and provide recommendations for appropriate products and pricing for new business clients.
Understand new and emerging treasury and payment technologies needed to support clients evolving needs.
Work with IT and operations to fulfill client requests for data reporting and file exchange.
Coordinate and provide account fulfillment for new sales to ensure smooth onboarding.
Provide on-going product training to Business Advisors and client facing staff.
Provide technical expertise for ACH related issues, remote deposit services, positive pay client issues and other business online related setup and support.
Job Function 3:Project and Technology Implementation and Upgrades - 20%
Act as a project lead on corporate projects assigned to the treasury management team.
Coordinate project resources within treasury management team.
Review vendor contracts for new treasury products.
Lead conversion of commercial clients and related software for bank acquisitions.
Manage client communication, training and outreach associated with all new technology implementation and conversions.
Job Function 4:Treasury Compliance - 10%
Responsible for risk assessment and underwriting process for all treasury and payment services.
Respond to issues raised in annual commercial services audit.
Responsible for updates to agreements and Terms &Conditions documents.
Conduct yearly merchant card review.
Conduct yearly ACH risk assessment.
Conduct yearly Remote Deposit risk assessment.
Review and update annual product reviews as industry standards change.
Review and resolve fraud concerns triggered by reports regarding online activity.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or five years experience in the financial services industry.
Minimum 5 years in a Treasury Management role.
Minimum of 1 year prior supervisory and/ or management experience preferred.
Prior work experience with online banking systems.
Computer experience, Windows preferred.
Experience with accounting software systems.
Software experience to include implementation and troubleshooting.
