Saint Xavier University, an NAIA member of the Chicago Collegiate Athletic Conference invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations. The University’s athletic program fields 19 intercollegiate and serves almost 500 student-athletes.
The Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations will report to the Associate Athletic Director for Departmental Operations a primary focus on managing all budget, purchasing, asset, and contract operations of the athletic department. This position will work to assist in department budget management, oversee procurement procedures, and coordinate contracts. The position will be responsible for the oversight of program budget processes and function as the direct athletics contact for university business and finance. This position will serve as a liaison for designated campus offices for athletics. This position may also represent athletics on various college and conference committees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Oversee general department budget operations
•Coordinate process for purchase orders, procurement reconciliation, and other business practices for the department of athletics
•Manage contracts for the department of athletics
•Coordinate team travel
•Work with athletic leadership team to create budget priorities
•Manage department interactions with university business and finance
•Assist in the oversight of revenue generation
•Other duties as assigned
· Applicant must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
· Two years of experience managing organizational business operations
· Master’s degree
· Experience managing athletic business operations
· 2 years experience in college athletic administration
