Franklin Pierce University is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the position of Head Coach Women’s Rowing. As an integral member of the Athletics Coaching staff, this position reports directly to the Athletic Director. The position is a part-time, 10 month coaching position that is responsible for all aspects of the program development for the varsity Rowing program within institutional and NCAA Division II regulations, inclusive of scheduling, budget management and recruitment and retention of student-athletes.
Qualified candidates should,
Possess a Bachelor’s degree, (Master’s preferred). Experience with collegiate rowing either as a coach or student-athlete is required. Demonstrated successful leadership experience. Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse background, and a demonstrated dedication to the full academic and social development of student-athletes. The individual must possess good organizational, oral and written communication skills. Recruiting skills are essential in this role. Knowledge of athletic recruitment methods and techniques, and financial/business analysis techniques. An in-depth knowledge of NCAA regulations and guidelines governing the recruitment and retention of student-athletes is required. Skills in budget preparation and management strongly preferred. The anticipated start date for this position is August 1, 2021.
