SUMMARY Bishop Lynch High School seeks a mission-driven professional who will serve as the Associate Director of Athletics. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, this experienced professional will be responsible for providing exemplary leadership in the implementation of the goals of Catholic education as outlined in The Holy See’s Teaching on Catholic Schools (Archbishop Michael Miller):

Qualified candidates will be driven and inspired by the mission of Catholic schools to form young men and women in a high school setting “who will be good citizens of the world, loving God and neighbor and enriching society with the leaven of the gospel, and who will also be good citizens of the world to come, thus fulfilling their destiny to become saints” (Miller 20).

Abide by the rules and regulations established by Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS).
Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.

Collaborate with other personnel at Bishop Lynch to promote the school’s mission and support students.
Serve as athletic department liaison to the business office administering the following:
Process Athletic Department MKS charges and financial paperwork for deposits, athletic fees and check requisitions.
Assists Director of Athletics in preparing documentation for all athletic purchases, travel, registrations, subscriptions, etc.
Prepare, process and notify employees of athletic department payroll. This includes BLHS coaches pay, game administrators, outside rental workers, special events, etc.
Monitor and obtain updated pay scales, verify travel pay and address officials assignments when needed. This includes processing the payments for contracted officials in all sports through the use of the ArbiterPay portal.
Reconcile payment of all game day event workers and game day administrators
Assists the Director of Athletics in duties relating to representation at athletic events serving as administrator on duty at times, crisis management, discipline, emergency planning.
TAPPS Compliance: manage Tappster/RankOne for the Athletic Department, prepare and report primary eligibility rosters to TAPPS, process all ejection reports and fines to TAPPS.
Oversee management and processing of all transfer paperwork with TAPPS through RankOne
Assists the Director of Athletics in assuring complete compliance with all Bishop Lynch Athletic Handbook regulations and TAPPS guidelines.
Athletic Events: provide leadership, planning, and assistance when Bishop Lynch is hosting a clinic, meeting, tournament, large post-season event, or alternative qualifying event.
Oversee the rentals of all Bishop Lynch athletic facilities with outside vendors.
Serve as Athletic Department liaison to the maintenance department to ensure facilities are kept up to a first-choice standard.
Serve as an ambassador of the Bishop Lynch athletic program to partner schools by personal presence
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
A high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations in a professional manner
Ability to demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy
Ability to communicate effectively with all school stakeholders
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be able to discern among competing priorities, separating what is essential from what is non-essential
Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills
Availability to work after school hours and special events as needed
Preferred qualifications include:
Be a Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church
Be familiar with the principles of the Play Like A Champion Todayprogram
Be comfortable exercising spiritual leadership of coaches, students, and parents
Have prior experience directing a sports program in a school setting, preferably in a Catholic school
