Sitting within the wider Sales & Marketing group, the Data & Distribution team supports the delivery of fund data (dynamic and static) to external & internal data platforms and clients. The team is also responsible for UCITS KIID production, Mifid2 Costs & charges, European investor tax reporting, consultant database oversight & bespoke client reporting.
The role, at its core, is the set-up and monitoring of fund valuation flows from admins to our internal systems, right through to feeds to our company website and external platforms. There is also more bespoke work on data set-up for benchmarks and other areas such as client reporting, websites and performance reporting.
The role will also be expected to provide technical support to the Data & Distribution team in project work, ad-hoc tasks & other deliverables using appropriate technology available (e.g. Python, SQL and other in-house reporting tools).
Fund & benchmark set-up in the core performance/client reporting systems
Maintaining feeds from source systems and Fund Admins for prices; as well as setting up feeds to the firm's website to display prices/performance on-line. Monitoring of feeds and subsequent follow-up with stakeholders on any issues identified
Contributing to a significant client reporting project as a key stakeholder
Using technology solutions (Python, SSRS, SQL etc..) to enhance existing processes within the team to deliver either control or efficiency enhancements
Performing daily/weekly/monthly tasks to generate performance files and ownership for subsequent distribution of these files
Building relationships with key individuals within Man and external service providers to ensure that we have the best processes in place and clients receive an optimum service from all parties
Ad-hoc task support for other workstreams within the team
Key Skills & Experience
Demonstrable skills in using technology solutions (most importantly Python) & experience in report writing/data extract design
High attention to detail with analytical capabilities
Highly motivated self-starter, willing to take on responsibility and ownership and see delivery through from start to finish (often to tight deadlines)
Ability to make decisions in a confident manner under pressure
Excellent organisational and planning skills. Able to effectively prioritise tasks and manage own workload. Takes methodical approach to problem solving
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to establish functioning and constructive work relations with various teams in the Company
Knowledge of pooled fund investment vehicles & fund data structures advantageous
