To ensure that the firm's income activity relating to equity and fixed income products is accurately accrued and reflected in a timely fashion.
Reconcile stock and cash positions with respect to income generating products
Accurately process dividends across all types of investments including UK and foreign equities. This includes cash equities, CFD's, short positions
Accurately process coupons across a variety of vanilla and complex bonds across all markets
Become an SME with regards to withholding tax across the various domiciles of our funds and the markets they invest in
Process market claims (late trades / repo's) and ensure that they are claimed and paid out to the correct parties
Claim and pay out tax refunds on eligible dividends paid within a tax-free environment
Dealing with counterparties for the quick resolution of claims
Identification of process and control improvements
Take leadership role in investigating all booking errors and facing off against PM's, Tax, Middle Office Accounting
Submit system enhancement requests. Undertake system and data testing as required
Continually improve data quality and consistency within our internal systems and scrutinise the data being provided by external providers
Maintain awareness of compliance and regulatory data requirements and ensure impacts are managed appropriately
Write and maintain procedures
Key Skills & Experience
Background from an Investment Bank / Asset Manager / Hedge Fund
Proven track record within Asset Services with specific focus around Equity Corporate Actions, Income and Tax
Knowledge of Swap/Equity/Bond products
Understanding of the Equity Corporate Action and Dividend mechanics across numerous markets
Ability to scrutinise data on a live basis and also review historic data to perform root cause analysis using excel / pivots etc.
A logical mind-set to build and maintain a rules-based system
Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Bloomberg / Markit preferred
