The Agnes Irwin School's Development Department is seeking a Development Office Assistant to provide administrative support to the Associate Director and Annual Giving Associate. This position will be part of a collaborative annual giving team supporting the successful implementation of the Agnes Irwin Fund and other annual giving programs to further the mission of The Agnes Irwin School. Additionally, the Development Office Assistant will serve as a receptionist for the building at 672 Conestoga Road which houses Development, Marketing & Communications, and the Business Office. Successful candidates will be tech-savvy, enthusiastic, energetic with a can-do attitude and willingness to assist in a variety of administrative projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide general administrative support for the Associate Director of Development; provide support as needed to the Director of Alumnae Programs and Director of Parents' Special Events
Collaborate on theme and messaging for annual fund appeals with Associate Director of Development and Annual Giving Associate
Assist with correspondence, including word processing documents, assembling and collating packets of materials, mail merging letters, mailing and distributing outgoing correspondence
Calendar management for annual fund events and communication as well as conference room schedule for 672 Conestoga Road
Greet and assist visitors
General office duties such as ordering supplies and maintaining office equipment
Provide coverage to LS or MS/US reception desks as requested
Other duties as assigned
Successful applicants will posses:
High school diploma or GED plus 2 to 5 years of office administration experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Associate or Bachelor degree highly preferred
Previous experience in development, marketing or public relations desirable
Strong telephone and reception skills required; Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a variety of constituents
Outstanding communication, organizational and customer service skills required
Must be skillful in the use of technology including Google, Microsoft Office. Experience with Raiser's Edge a plus
