Line Superintendent South Central Indiana REMC APPLY ONLY AT www.sciremc.com/careers South Central Indiana REMC (SCI REMC) is a not-for-profit electric distribution, member-owned cooperative. The cooperative is a leader in distribution technology and is headquartered in a new and progressive facility in Martinsville, Indiana. SCI REMC serves seven counties including Morgan, Monroe, Owen, Brown, Johnson, Putnam and Clay with over 3,650 miles of energized lines and 34,257 meters serving 33,000 members. SCI REMC is also in the start-up phase with the fiber division that will offer broadband services to its members’ homes and businesses. SCI REMC is looking for qualified candidates for the Line Superintendent position. This is an early backfill for a retirement by January 2022. The selected and successful Line Superintendent will be eligible for apply for the Operations Manager position, anticipated to be available in the first half of 2022, also due to retirement. The best candidates will have demonstrated electric distribution line knowledge with leadership ability to continue a culture of trust and respect in the line department team. ** QUALIFICATIONS ** EDUCATION: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent plus relevant short-term courses. Graduate of a journeyman lineman apprenticeship program preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years’ experience in electric line construction, maintenance, and repair as a journeyman lineman, with demonstrated ability to supervise personnel. Foreman experience is preferred, as well as experience in a rural electric distribution system.
