Assistant Professor of Practice in Accounting

The School of Accounting in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University is accepting applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Practice to begin in fall 2021. This faculty member will teach financial reporting at the undergraduate and/or master’s level. Candidates must have a record demonstrating excellence in teaching (preferably financial reporting). Candidates must hold a doctorate (or must have earned a doctorate before the start date) and must have completed at least 18 graduate hours of accounting coursework. Professional certification and prior professional experience are strongly preferred. Salary and benefits are highly competitive, and funding is available to support research, including conference attendance. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. Service duties include program building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. A demonstrated and ongoing commitment to serving diverse student populations and experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students is highly desirable.
