Astellas is announcing a Business Analytics Manager in Northbrook, IL.

Purpose & Scope:

The Business Analytics Manager is a member of the Insights and Analytics team supporting the oncology franchise. This role is responsible for the following areas: 1) Informing commercial decision-making through advanced analytical methods, leveraging a wide variety of data sources especially patient-level data. 2) Improving efficiency and quality of deliverables by streamlining and automating existing processes using data analytics and reporting platforms. 3) Supporting other analytics and reporting work streams with custom analytical data tables. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as IT, Operations and other I&A teams.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Conducts analyses on market utilization and sales to identify class trends and performance relative to competitors to inform Marketing strategies and tactics, leveraging patient-level data sources.
• Improve commercial decision making through advanced analytics tools and methods, such as patient flow models, lines of therapy, segmentation and targeting
• Streamlines existing analytic and data processes using various data analytics and reporting platforms such as QlikSense and Tableau
• Proactively prioritizes work based on the needs of brand teams, organizes data sources and analytic data tables, develops analysis plans, conducts analysis, synthesizes results and effectively communicates the results to customers from different backgrounds.
• Develops best practices and code repository related to patient-level data

Quantitative Dimensions:

• Keep outsourcing of patient data analytics to <$250K
• Provide recommendations to improve marketing and sales spend within brands by 10% unless spend is less than 15% of brand revenue.
• Provide recommendations to improve overall efficiency in executing data and analytical tasks
