Louisville High School has opened a search for its next principal who will assume leadership in July 2021. The school seeks a visionary Catholic educator whose leadership will ensure the continuation of an excellent academic program and who will promote the mission and values of the school. Located in Woodland Hills, California, Louisville is a private Catholic high school for young women, founded in 1960 by the Sisters of St. Louis. Louisville has the maximum six-year accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is a member of the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools (NCGC). It was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education. As a Catholic high school, Louisville educates young women in a vibrant and supportive learning community; the school is guided by the mission of the Sisters of St. Louis to “work toward a world healed, unified and transformed.” The Sisters of St. Louis focus on education and service and are a strong, independent group of faithful women. Louisville High School offers “challenging academics and caring employees who empower each student to develop her confidence, integrity and faith to meet the needs of an ever-changing world” (Louisville Mission Statement). Students represent diverse racial, ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. The school welcomes students of all faiths. The school follows a president-principal administrative model and the principal reports to the president. The principal is a member of the senior administrative team, Leaders Council, along with the president, vice-president of advancement and the business manager. The principal’s leadership team consists of the assistant principal for academics, the dean of students and dean of faculty and the assistant principal for student life. The human resources manager assists both the president and the principal.
