The University of Texas Permian Basin welcomes applicants for the position of Ticket Manager. Reporting to the Director of Accounting and the Director of Athletics, the incumbent will manage the operations of the Athletics Department Ticket Office.
General Responsibilities: • Manage the Athletics Department Ticket Office. Manage the customer’s ticket sales experience through the Box Office and website with customer centric focus insuring that ticket purchase information is simple, current, and easy to find. • Maintain an accurate record of tickets to athletic events, receipts, and disbursement. • Serve as primary liaison to ticket system provider and lead the upkeep and maintenance of the ticketing system. Master the administration and back-end management of the ticket system software. Create and organize event manifests and price codes as needed. • Coordinate the design, layout and purchase of season tickets and individual game tickets. • Coordinate all ticket sales for football (and other sports as necessary) including, but not limited to: a. Organize and coordinate ticket mailings; b. Coordinate ticket deposits with Business Office; c. Coordinate all seat assignments; and d. Oversee the disbursement of tickets • Ensure the staffing of the Ticket Office during normal business hours. Recruit, hire train and supervise all Box Office and Ticket Taking personnel. Write and periodically update a procedures manual for the training and instruction of ticket procedures. • Be prepared to deal in a timely and courteous manner with the general public and institutional staff concerning ticket matters and disagreements. • Assign and distribute complimentary tickets within established departmental, institutional, and NCAA regulations. Maintain necessary records. • Be proactive in providing pertinent information to the Director of Accounting and the Director of Athletics on any and all potential problems. • Maintain accurate records of ticket sales and attendance figures for use in developing departmental reports and projections. • Keep the Director of Athletics current on all activities, plans, and evaluations relating to projects within areas assigned. • Be committed to the compliance process and assist with rules education. • Serve as an ambassador of UT Permian Basin and its Athletics Department to all public entities. • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Accounting / Director of Athletics.
WORKSCHEDULE: The expected work schedule is Monday through Friday. This schedule may vary based on the number of hours needed to meet the job responsibilities. The individual holding this position will need to be available outside of standard business hours to meet the needs of the position and department.
