Assistant Director, Global Admissions and Outreach (Erie, PA)
Gannon University, a Catholic university, invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of the Office of Global Admissions and Outreach. The Assistant Director assists with designing and implementing an effective recruitment strategy within specified territories of the world to increase the enrollment of global and international students – in support of a departmental effort defined by both recruitment and admissions for graduate and undergraduate students who were born outside the political boundaries of the United States. Of critical importance is the development and deepening of relationships at a number of levels as context for follow-up: in support of the management of applications, the issuing of I-20s, and facilitating the transition of new students to the Gannon community. Knowledge and applications of technology are critical in this effort. Must be able to support and promote the University's Mission.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree; a minimum of one-plus years in international enrollment at a post-secondary level to include SEVIS-related activities, international credentials, and field work in international admissions and recruitment; experience working in and across political and cultural boundaries for university-based business and outreach; fluency in Spanish is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license, a passport, and be a U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident. Must be able and willing to travel domestically and abroad using various means of transportation including air travel and attaining the necessary documentation to include but not limited to a valid passport and relevant visas that allow entry to other countries from the United States. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in cross-departmental facilitation in support of cultural events and international-student retention are essential.
