POSITION DESCRIPTION: Responsible for daily accounting and property management activities for buildings and scattered site units. Works directly with clients, case managers, housing staff and finance team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete all components of the client certification process for new clients, relocations and annual renewals
Maintain client records in Yardi and HMIS
Prepare monthly charge batches for client rent
Will support the functions of the finance department as needed, including processing A/R, A/P, prepaid accounts, GL transactions, vouchering and other tasks.
Monitoring and Reconciliation for accounting and property management activity
Preparation of reports and required financial data
Meet all accounting government standards and requirements
Participate in audit preparations
Involvement in continuous improvement and system enhancement projects
Perform other duties as assigned
Timely accounting and property management support
A. degree or equivalent experience in accounting or related field.
4-5 years of experience with basic accounting practice.
Must be proficient with YARDI and MS Office.
Property Management experience, including buildings and scattered site units.
Ability to meet deadlines, well organized, self-motivated.
Strong multi task skills and ability to adapt quickly to a fast-pace environment
Detail, systems and numeracy focused skills
Problem solving skills, pro-active and initiative
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Excellent interpersonal skills
Non-for-Profit accounting experience.
This position is supervised by: Director of Finance
REQUIREMENTS AND LICENSURE:
Must pass applicable background tests
Must possess valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof automobile insurance
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, and walk up and down stairs
STARTING SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time; regular business hours with some flexibility required.
