Position Purpose: The FamilyWorks Director is responsible for long & short range planning, development and implementation of all FamilyWorks services; delivery of direct services; management of FamilyWorks staff at all locations; fiscal development and management; and evaluation of program outcomes.
Develop, implement, and manage department goals and outcomes in alignment with CHA’s FamilyWorks model
Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, including CHA leadership and staff, CHA residents and Local and Central Advisory Councils and other allies and champions to cultivate and activate strong partnerships
Develop and manage department budgets, specifically tracking revenue, expenses and contract expectations.
Lead and direct different cross-functional programs and projects of varied sizes and types
Ensure the consistency and efficiency of service delivery and program operations
Develop, establish and implement the appropriate reporting system(s) for all program services
Establish, communicate and implement departmental policies and procedures; ensuring compliance to all
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Business, Social Work or closely related field from an accredited institution. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of related experience
Bilingual language abilities preferred but not required
Resource development and grant writing experience required
Prior experience working with CHA residents and experience with delivering trauma-informed services is desirable
A demonstrated ability to work independently, while prioritizing and managing multiple assignments simultaneously as needed.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
Must be able to travel locally, be knowledgeable of geographic and neighborhood areas of Chicago
Ability to pass a child abuse/neglect and criminal background check
Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
