The Business Manager provides management and oversight for the following Business Office functions: the Accounting Department, which includes Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable; Payroll; Tuition collections; Buildings and Grounds; School Store; Production Room; and financial aid. The Business Manager coordinates and assists the Director of Finance in the preparation of all financial statements and other special reports as needed.
Manage the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial information
Supervise the student billing and general accounting operations
Supervise all incoming cash receipts and deposits
Provide support in the hiring, training of accounting staff
Supervise the Director of Facilities and assist with the creation and monitoring of the Campus Facility Plan
Assist Director of Finance in the preparation and monitoring of financial statements, department budgets and forecasts
Communicate accounting policies to employees and ensure compliance with such policies
Prepare all periodic surveys and Peer reports
Assists Director of Finance with the annual financial audit
Manage the facility rental process
Assist the President with Financial Aid decisions and track and monitor all awards
Perform other related duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Master's Degree and/or CPA preferred
Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in non-profit accounting, including managerial experience
Blackbaud experience preferred
Must have strong organizational and analytical skills
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be able to work well with faculty, staff, parents and the community
