Under general supervision responsible for creating cyber-intelligence solutions to prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce and web-based systems. Implement and support technologies deployed across application, network/perimeter, data, endpoint, identity & access, and mobility domains. Researches attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information and systems.
The Cyber Security Advisor will be responsible for being the tier three security operations analyst and subject matter expert in the cyber security command center. Job Responsibilities:
Tier three analysts are responsible for investigating, and analyzing declared security incidents.
Perform forensic analysis for security events as detected by various host and network based tools
Serve as the technical escalation point and mentor for lower-level analysts
Manage interactions with internal stakeholders in a professional manner
Drive the remediation efforts for security incidents
Document and communicate findings in case management solution and after-action reports
Analyze, integrate, and report on actionable threat intelligence
Generate reports and create evidentiary documentation
Signature assessment and tuning
Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus:
3+ years of relevant security operations analyst experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to lead root cause analysis of problems.
The ability to learn new technology and concepts quickly
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high pressure environment.
Familiarity with Linux, Windows and forensic evidence concepts
Knowledge of malware families and network attack vectors.
Knowledge of exploits, vulnerabilities, network attacks
Scripting (Perl, python, PowerShell, bash), RegEx and PCRE experience is desirable.
Familiarity with static and dynamic malware analysis.
Familiarity with the Lockheed Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE AT&CK frameworks
Experience performing host, network, and log analysis from a variety of sources and platforms
Experience with SIEM data analytics and correlation rule creation a plus
Effective in collaboration with teams in remote offices
Domiciled Location: Collierville, TN (Suburb of Memphis, TN)
Relocation: Relocation assistance is available Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) years of experience in IT information security.
