Job Description Summary At Lloyds Banking Group, we have a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper and to become the best bank for our customers. What we do makes a genuine difference to families, businesses and communities and we're playing a central role in crafting a growing UK economy. Finance is key to that success by securing and building the financial strength and performance of the Bank.
Here in the Capital Issuance, Ratings and Debt IR team, we have a broad remit of responsibility including issuance and optimisation of the Group's capital securities, maintaining the relationship with the credit rating agencies and being responsible for the strategy for engaging the Group's debt investors. We also lead on prudential regulatory horizon scanning, chairing the Group's prudential regulation committee and supporting the Treasurer, and their management team, in engagement with the BoE/PRA.
As the Senior Manager, you'll report to the Head of Capital Issuance, Ratings and Debt IR, while building and managing relationships with senior partners internally and also externally to the Group (e.g. investors, rating agencies, investment banks). You'll also have opportunities to lead on high profile projects and briefings for senior management including the CFO and CEO, which can cover evolving regulations, analysis of competitors and rating agency actions and the issuance markets.
Understanding of, and an intellectual curiosity for, capital markets, the banking/financial services industry and the regulatory environment in which the Group operates including forthcoming regulatory change
Strong knowledge and understanding of, and keen interest in, the Group's business strategy including areas of investor focus
Validated leadership skills, to immediately contribute as a senior leader across broader Capital team and support the implementation of Your Best in the team.
Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels, along with ability to influence at senior levels internally and externally. This role will entail significant exposure to senior management internally and presentation to the Group's investors externally.
Confident in verbal presentation, and delivery of clearly written reports and summaries to a very high quality of presentation
Ability to lead, and review the efficient and effective production of high quality output and analysis that meets partner needs, with excellent attention to detail in written and numerical output
Knowledge and understanding of risk and control framework, ensuring robust standards maintained by the team
You'll be able to broaden your knowledge of capital markets, whilst developing knowledge of the technical drivers for our business, including credit ratings and the regulatory environment.
Our continued dedication to helping Britain prosper means that as a colleague you can make a difference to customers, businesses and communities. Together we have a key role to play in crafting the bank of the future, whilst the scale and reach of our Group means you'll continue to have opportunities to learn, grow and develop.
We're focused on building a values-led culture, and our approach to inclusion and diversity means that we all have the opportunity to make a real difference, together.
Did you know we've won awards?
We've gained industry recognition including Stonewall Top 100 Employer, Top 30 Employer for Working Families, Gold Standard 2014 from the Business Disability Forum and Top 50 Employer for Women.
As part of the Group's commitment as a result of ring-fencing legislation, colleagues based in the Islands and Gibraltar are required to be exclusively dedicated to the non-ring-fenced bank and its subsidiaries. This means that colleagues who are based in the Islands or Gibraltar would not be able to undertake roles for the Ring-fenced Bank from their existing location and would need to consider relocation when applying for roles.
** This is a fixed term contract role until 1st October **
