Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart is seeking a talented, creative and engaging Development and Special Events Associate to help the Institutional Advancement Team.

Under minimal supervision, the Development and Special Events Associate supports the work of the Institutional Advancement Team with logistical and support activities related to fundraising campaigns including gift processing, special events, and day-to-day operations including promotion of all events via print, face to face communications and social media as well as execution of special events and school functions.
Supports Director of Annual Giving in assisting with Forest Ridge Fund, Annual Report and Annual Giving related tasks and Evening of Celebration.
Provides support to with donor acknowledgement letters, assists as needed with entering data or proofing batch reports, and assists with accuracy in record keeping as needed.
Supports Director of Alumnae Relations in promotion and execution of alumnae events. Examples include the fall Phone-a-Thon, Spring Luncheon and Reunion, social media postings, content creation for push pages and other events as needed.
Plans, executes and assists with special events on campus (i.e. Grandparents Day, Parent-Daughter Breakfasts, PA Meetings).
On-campus marketing (signage, digital media screens, etc.) and events photographer; social media and postings on Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Takes minutes for Parent Association and Development Committee Meetings.
Coordinates with vendors including food and beverage, photographers, valet service, etc.
Set up and take down for events.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred
Three years’ experience in event planning.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects for multiple directors
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe InDesign
Strong understanding of social media, mostly Facebook and Instagram, in order to reach our constituents about upcoming events and to keep the community involved in and informed about events and special celebrations on campus
Ability to sit and keyboard up to 8 hours per day
Ability to talk on the phone
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, climb on ladders, bend, stretch in order to set up and break down decorations for events
Ability to work outside in all weather
Ability to walk around campus
Ability to successfully pass both initial and periodic federal, state and local background checks
Flexibility, maturity, and a good sense of humor
