Cara’s mission is to unlock the power and purpose within our communities and ourselves, to achieve real and lasting success. We help men and women affected by poverty, aged 18 and above, to get and keep quality jobs while instilling hope, motivation, and self-esteem for themselves and their families in the process. Since 1991, Cara has grown into an enterprise with four major components of service delivery. We have two businesses that create transitional jobs and two program platforms that connect people to networks, skills, and competitive market jobs.
As a member of the Recruitment Team, an Admissions Specialist is responsible for sourcing quality participants for the entire enterprise. This includes conducting community outreach to engage new and established referral partners as well as curating a participant’s journey through the first week of their Cara experience. An emphasis is placed on developing referral partnerships as these relationships lead to a strong pipeline of prospective participants. This role is critical to the organization as the Admissions Specialist is engaging prospective participants while both assessing and instilling motivation in them. We operate within a team structure to recruit and transition individuals into the enterprise.
