The Analytics, Information Systems, and Operations Management (AIO) in the University Of Kansas School of Business seeks applicants for Associate or full Professor/Area Director. This is a full-time, 9-month, academic year, tenured appointment, to begin August 18, 2019. The position includes some summer administrative responsibilities that will provide summer salary.
Director responsibilities include leading, administering, and coordinating activities within the area and representing the area to the school and university. The director has decision making authority over the area budget, participates in faculty evaluations and salary decisions, is responsible for coordinating curricula and faculty development within the area, and communicates area accomplishments, needs, and opportunities. Associate or full Professor responsibilities include teaching two courses each year, mentoring junior faculty and students and maintaining a limited research agenda. This position will report to the Dean and Executive Associate Dean.
Candidates with prior experience in an administrative or managerial position, in academia or industry, are encouraged to apply. Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Business Analytics
The University of Kansas, School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track finance position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. This position starts in Fall 2018. Salary and support are competitive.
Candidates at the associate or full level should have a Ph.D. in statistics, operations research or a closely related field; a strong publication record in business analytics/data science in top tier journals; and a history of effective teaching in the area of business analytics/data science. Practical experience in the private sector with a record of successful liaison with the business community that have led to opportunities for students’ experiential learning is desired. Candidates at the assistant level should anticipate completion of the Ph.D. by Fall 2018; have strong potential to publish in top tier journals in business analytics/data science; and have potential for effective teaching in the area of business analytics.
