Northwestern College (Orange City, Iowa) invites applications for a tenure-track or professor-of-practice faculty position in management beginning August 2019.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced courses in management. Specific course responsibilities will be coordinated with the needs of the department and the candidate’s areas of expertise. The normal teaching load is 24 hours per academic year. The department is especially interested in candidates who can work collegially and effectively with others, in addition to carrying out scholarly or professional engagement, student advising, and faculty governance responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. or D.B.A. in management or a closely related field is expected for tenure-track candidates (ABDs will also be considered). Hiring preference will be given to persons with practical business experience, who envision involving students in project-based, active learning and data analysis. Professionals with a master’s degree and significant work experience are also encouraged to apply as professor-of-practice track candidates.
