The complex, strategic nature of this role requires the possession of an advanced degree in a relevant field (e. g. , business administration, health care administration, marketing, or finance) as well as ten or more years ’ Experience in the industry with a progressively increasing scope and complexity of responsibility; proactive and “can do” attitude; networking, strong communication and interpersonal skills, performance measures and outcomes driven; excellent rapport-building and communication skills; collegiality; problem-solving and conflict resolution skills; successful track record of leadership and management; organization and project management skills; time management and prioritization skills, including demonstrated meeting management abilities; financial acumen; collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Leads and directs the research and market intelligence functions in support of strategy, business development and key operational decision making for OhioHealth. Establishes effective ways to seek input and communicate with organizational leadership and senior system staff, and hospital operations to provide robust insight into key business strategic and operating decisions. In collaboration with the strategy and business development functions, provides leadership direction and support to OhioHealth operating entities related to research and market intelligence. Provides insights into the development of business plans, operational goal deployment, business unit plans and strategy. Ensure comprehensive insights for business development plan for targeted markets and services. Help to identify and prioritize market share growth opportunities, new lines of service and stay ahead of market trends. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the organization's business development and decision making processes. Ensure staff resources are in place with competencies and expertise in hospital and clinic operations, market disruption, trending and forecasting. Aid in the development of clear and concise presentations about the state of the market, opportunities and threats. Provide insights to the 5 Cs company, customer, competitor, collaborator, and context t that is ahead of front line news. Weave trends and futures into material that can be effectively consumed for better strategy and business operations. Build, mentor, and develop the business research and market insights team as a high performing team of diverse talent that reaches and exceeds assigned goals. Establish and maintains effective working relationships and credibility with OhioHealth senior executive group, senior management team, administrative staff, OhioHealth hospitals and operating entities leadership, key service line leadership cardiology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, oncology, and women's service s . and physician leadership. Assure achievement of goals in keeping with the organization's high standards of performance in clinical quality and safety, customer service, physician satisfaction and engagement, associate satisfaction and engagement, and finance. Serve as a role model for OhioHealth's values and culture; represent the organization favorably to internal and external constituents Stay abreast of trends in the industry and participate in continual professional learning and growth endeavors in the interest of the organization and its mission Assure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Ensure OhioHealth operating entities leadership and system executives are receiving timely and accurate information, reports, and analyses that consistently exceed their needs.
