Within delegated authority, the Contract Management Officer may be responsible for the following duties: - Handles a range of issues related to contract management for the Investment Management Division, including the review of IMD contracts and related documents, in consultation with IMD's Legal Officer. - Conducts and maintains an extensive inventory of all IMD agreements and other contractual documentation including, agreements with investment advisors and managers for equity, fixed income, private equity and real estate portfolios as well as license agreements relating to market data and software. - Conducts extensive review of all IMD agreements creates and maintains a database of all rights and obligations created by such agreements which require further action and follow-up and prepares appropriate studies, comparative studies, briefs, reports and correspondence. - Prepares or assists in the preparation of drafts of background papers, studies, reports required to brief IMD's Legal Officer on contract management related issues and needs. - Prepares or assists IMD's Legal Officer in the preparation of IMD agreements and contracts with private entities, as well as in the negotiation thereof. - Reviews and summarizes IMD's contractual documentation, as required. - Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of various contract management resources, including electronic, and ability to conduct research and analyze information on a wide range of contract management issues. Ability to interpret and apply legislative instruments, develop and present results, recommendations, and opinions clearly and concisely. Ability to draft formal documents and work under pressure. Ability to apply good legal judgment in the context of assignments given. Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent degree) in law, business administration, commerce, or related field. A first-level university degree in any of these fields, in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in contract management in an investment environment or related field is required. Experience with procurement of goods and services is desirable.
